RACE DESCRIPTIONS
$5.00/event ($12.00/three events before race day)
Only FOUR Doxies will race at a time!
"Adult Races" is 35 feet in length, and open to any adult 1 year of age or older - The Doxies will challenge each other categorized by age and weight
"Adult Carts", 35 feet in length, and open to doxies in carts
"Puppy Race" is 20 feet in length, and open for Doxies under 1 year of age, but at least 3 months old
"Seniors Race" is 20 feet in length, and only for Doxies 9-years of age and older
"Non Doxie Race" is a 35 feet "fun" race for dogs who are not doxies
SPECIAL EVENTS

Free Doggie Weddings
Costume Contest
"Best Costume Male" is a judged event for the best costume on a male Doxie
"Best Costume Female" is a judged event for the best costume on a female Doxie
"Best Costume Group" is a judged event for 2 or more Doxies (humans can be included) who have the best costume theme as a group
"Look A-Like" is a judged event to see which Doxie and human Look-A-Like. Imaginative and creative costumes are strongly encouraged!
Size & Age Contests
Doxies must be 1 yr. or older
"Smallest" is a judged event to see which Doxie is the Smallest by weight
"Longest" is a judged event to see which Doxie is the Longest
"Oldest" is a judged event to see which Doxie is the Oldest
Coat Contest
"Best Coat" is a judged event to see which Doxie has the Best Coat patterns and colors.
"Short Coat" is a judged event to see which Doxie has the Best Short Coat.
"Long Coat" is a judged event to see which Doxie has the Best Long Coat.
"Wire Coat" is a judged event to see which Doxie has the Best Wire Coat.
Nose & Obstacle
"Best Nose" is a timed event of the Doxie to find a treat with its nose.
"Obstacle Course" is a timed event of the Doxie to go through an obstacle course.
RACE REGULATIONS
If everyone follows the rules, all are assured a great time!
* Must be a Dachshund (SMALL mixed breeds are accepted - decision is up to the Judging Committee)
* Each Doxie must have proof of Rabies Vaccination, tags, or letter from Vet
* Each Doxie must be accompanied by 2 humans, one human to release Doxie from start gate and one human to catch Doxie at the finish line
* There is a clear, acrylic starting gate and Doxies must cross finish line completely
* Owners can have Doxie's favorite TOY or TREAT to help motivate them
* All Doxies must be registered, 30 minutes prior to their race time
* All Judges’ rulings are final
* National Race Rules will NOT tolerate anyone arguing with the judges, officials, or event coordinators in any way! You will be removed from the event should any such argument occur
GENERAL RULES
* Absolutely no smoking, alcohol, drugs, or weapons of any type of material
* Absolutely no political campaigning of any sorts
* Absolutely no selling any puppies or adult dogs of any breeds
* Absolutely no selling any creature of any age or size or breeds
* All dogs must be on a leash
* All creatures great and small shall clean up after themselves; we have no janitors on hand
* All creatures great and small shall have the opportunity to enjoy themselves
* All breeds of dogs are welcome to attend the festival. They must be well socialized and accustomed to being around other dogs for everyone's safety. ALL dogs must have current tags on them!!
