Georgia Dachshund Races
The Georgia Dachshund Races was founded in 2010 as a circuit race of the National Dachshund Circuit Races. We are volunteers. The Georgia Dachshund Races is hosted by the Metro Atlanta Dachshund Meetup Group. The Races benefit Dachshund Rescue, nonprofit 501-c3 groups. The Georgia Dachshund Races Winners will be invited to race at the National Dachshund Races in Ohio in September.
We do not promote racing for profit, only the thrill of the excitement to watch your Doxie participate in challenging other Doxies. We now include non-doxies and handicapped dogs under 30 pounds! Please enjoy yourself at all the events and make sure you and your Doxie/dog stay safe!
Metro Atlanta Dachshund MeetUp Group (MAD MUG)
MAD MUG, founded in 2005, is a growing group of dachshund enthusiasts. We meet once a month for "play dates", socializing and networking. Our mission is to continue membership growth by promoting our great group to others we meet. We also want to give back to the community through various philanthropic activities. By joining MAD MUG, your benefits are endless! You will meet and socialize with people from all walks of life while sharing our common goal and interests: DACHSHUNDS! It's all about the dachshund!
National Dachshund Races
Toni Gossard founded the National Dachshund Circuit Races in 2001. The National Dachshund Races are proudly SANCTIONED BY THE I.W.D.R.F. (International Wiener Dog Racing Federation) we always look forward to a VERY EXCITING NEW YEAR! We have circuit races throughout the country that make The National Dachshund Races the KING of all race events. Our goal is to STOP the poorly run Dachshund Races that are held in areas of this country that unfortunately ARE geared for profit and NOT the safety of our fine companions! Thank you for being a part of The National Dachshund Races and we look forward to seeing you at all of our events! Shane MacDougall from "Wiener Takes All" (A Dogumentary) supports our fine event. We are Grateful and Proud of this! Quote - "From 2004 to 2007 I shot a documentary about the world of dachshund racing in America. Of all the events that I encountered on my journey across the nation, - and I encountered quite a few, Toni Gossard's stands out as an example of an event where the dog's health and comfort are a top priority."

Little Paws Dachshund Rescue
We believe that dogs truly are man’s (and woman’s) best friend and that our beloved companions deserve the right to a soft bed, generous treats and unconditional love.
We believe in rescue. We believe in the power of cooperation and teamwork to make this happen. We believe in volunteers who can work together to help make a difference in the life of three puppy mill dogs who have spent their lives in cramped cages and now have a chance at a bright future thanks to the teamwork of Little Paws Dachshund Rescue and Carolina Loving Hound Rescue.
We believe that two sweet puppies left behind at a veterinarian’s office deserve a life full of toys and fun and snuggles. We believe Little Paws Dachshund Rescue can help change the lives of these dogs, and many, many more in the future.
Do you believe? Are you ready to help us achieve our mission? In the coming weeks we will be putting out calls for volunteers for many roles within our rescue. So many of you have reached out and asked how you can help! We are touched by everyone’s generosity.
Right now, we are in need of monetary donations. Happy endings for our dachshunds in need can only happen with your support. Please allow us to continue to say “YES WE CAN” to those calls asking for assistance with a dachshund left behind at an animal shelter, or a dog who has been neglected and abused and deserves a warm bed and a kind hand to rub his or her tummy.
